At X-Treme B-Force, we are dedicated to making our website accessible to everyone, including those with disabilities. We are constantly working to enhance the accessibility and usability of our website for all people. Our efforts are in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to ensure that our website meets the necessary standards.

OUR COMMITMENT TO ACCESSIBILITY

Xtreme B-Force Martial Arts is committed to providing an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment for all students, parents, and visitors. We strive to support participation for individuals of different ages, abilities, and backgrounds wherever reasonably possible.

However, martial arts is a physically demanding activity by nature, involving balance, coordination, controlled contact, movement, and physical exertion. While we aim to make reasonable accommodations, not all activities, techniques, or classes may be suitable for every individual.

Our priority is always safety, wellbeing, and appropriate participation for all students.

WHAT WE DO

1. Physical Accessibility

We aim to make our facility as physically accessible as reasonably possible, including:

  • Clear and unobstructed entryways and pathways

  • Seating areas for parents and spectators

  • Assistance for individuals with limited mobility when entering and exiting training areas

  • Supportive environments for students using mobility aids (where safe and appropriate)

  • Safety-focused training spaces with cushioned mats and controlled activities

Limitations:

Due to the physical nature of martial arts training, some areas of the facility or activities may not be fully accessible at all times. Participation may be limited where safety risks cannot be reasonably managed.

If you require physical assistance or specific accommodations, please notify our staff prior to participation so we can assess suitability and safety.

2. Training & Program Adaptations

Where appropriate and safe, instructors may modify training to support students with:

  • Physical disabilities

  • Developmental delays

  • Learning differences

  • Temporary injuries

  • Sensory needs

  • Anxiety or confidence challenges

Possible adaptations may include:

  • Slower-paced instruction

  • Modified techniques

  • Reduced-contact participation

  • Visual demonstrations or verbal guidance

  • Rest breaks as needed

Limitations:

Not all techniques or drills can be modified without compromising safety or learning outcomes. In some cases, full participation may not be possible, or alternative programs may be recommended.

Participation decisions are made at the discretion of instructors and management, based on safety and capability.

3. Communication & Support

We support a range of learning styles by offering:

  • Clear visual demonstrations

  • Step-by-step verbal instruction

  • Simplified explanations for younger students

  • Patient, confidence-building coaching

  • Open communication with parents where additional support may be required

If a student has specific communication needs, please inform us in advance so we can reasonably adapt where possible.

4. Sensory Considerations

We understand that some students may be sensitive to noise, lighting, or busy environments. Where possible:

  • Breaks may be taken if a student feels overwhelmed

  • Modified participation is welcomed

  • Quieter areas may be used when available

Limitations:

Martial arts classes may involve noise, movement, group interaction, and physical activity. A completely quiet or low-stimulation environment cannot always be guaranteed.

Parents are encouraged to discuss sensory considerations with instructors prior to class.

5. Inclusive Environment

Xtreme B-Force Martial Arts is a respectful, family-focused dojo. We do not tolerate discrimination based on:

  • Disability

  • Race or ethnicity

  • Religion

  • Gender or gender identity

  • Age

  • Background

  • Personal circumstances

All students are expected to treat others with respect and follow dojo rules at all times.

6. Assistance Animals

Registered and trained assistance animals are permitted in non-training areas of the facility.

For safety reasons, assistance animals are not permitted in active training zones unless prior approval has been granted by management.

7. Website Accessibility

We aim to keep our website accessible by:

  • Using clear, easy-to-read fonts

  • Providing simple navigation

  • Ensuring mobile compatibility

  • Offering alternative contact methods for support

If you experience any accessibility issues with our website, please contact us so we can address them.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON PARTICIPATION

While we strive to be inclusive, martial arts may not be suitable for everyone. Participation is subject to:

  • Safety considerations

  • Physical capability

  • Instructor assessment

  • Program requirements

Xtreme B-Force Martial Arts reserves the right to limit or decline participation where it is deemed unsafe or unsuitable for the individual or others.
